.: Web Projects

Throughout the years, I've always enjoyed tinkering with web development stuff. Sometimes in my free time I just sit there and think about ways to re-code things or get things that aren't working fixed (yah I'm a nerd ok). In March of 2003 I started a company doing web development part-time (www.nanwob.net) and since then, God's been gracious - allowing me to make money doing something I love doing. Below are some samples of the work I've had the privilege of working through in past years. Most of it was done on the side for fun... but some them (mostely later ones) were done for business. 2004 Ampri LLC. Website [ Website ] - In the summer of 2004, Nanwob Solutions was contracted to design a website for Ampri LLC, a healthcare company. Described as an elegant upgrade from the parent company, White Glove Intercare, Ampri's design required a sophisticated and simple look. DFDS Transport (US) Inc. Website [ Website ] - Contracted to develop a website for DFDSTransport (US), Inc., an international shipping company office in the US. While the layout and design were provided by parent company regulations, the coding including some complicated stylesheets and menus were implemented. No backend was created for this website. Unirents Inc. Website [ Website ] - Contracted to design and develop a website for Unirents Inc., an equipment rental company. The whole website is linked to a database and an administration panel was developed allows the user to add/delete/change items on their own. Advanced graphics manipulation libraries were used in this project to modify "on the fly" pictures that were uploaded by the client to constrain size and other factors. Unique Overseas Inc. Website [ Website ] - [Under Construction] - A website created for Unique Overseas Inc. to have web presence to sell their PVC fitting products. RPI's CWN Research Group Website [ Website ] - Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Community Wireless Networks Research Group Website was created to post semester's work information and know-how so as to easily direct new members to get acquainted with the information quickly. It also serves as a repository for our work. 2003 G. Square Marketing Inc. Website [ Website ] - Was contracted to create a website for G. Square Marketing, a company that sells energy saving products. An entire shopping cart system was built from the ground up with PHP and MySQL database backend that allowed the client to easily update product information and prices. Orders were kept securely in a database and exported when needed. An entire administration panel was also built for the client to easily manage the site and orders. ECSE 2050 Fall 2003 Website [ Website ] - Static website created while working as a Teaching Assistant for ECSE 2050 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. It was used basically to put up homework and informational stuff. ArtechSigns Website Place-holder [ Website ] - Mainly provide email for ArtechSigns but they needed a placeholder for the domain. Hope for the City Website [ Website ] - Created for Hope for the City, a non-profit Christian organization in NYC. The website integrates donations, mailing list subscriptions, and a complete content management system with a background WYSIWYG editor together. It also has a backend database that keeps track of contacts and is accessible through the web anywhere. Nationwide Subscriptions [ Website ] - Designed a website for Nationwide Subscriptions, a small company that sells magazines. Not really sure if they got off the ground, but I only worked on the design of the website. The backend is running OSCommerce, an extremely powerful shopping cart tool (if you know how to use it). YALE SOM Christian Organization Website [ Website ] - Created for Yale University's School of Management Christian Organization. It's a basic static HTML website mostely informational. BioMed Capital Group Ltd. Website [ Website ] - Redesigned and reimplemented BioMed Capital Group's Website. I worked for BioMed Capital Group doing secretarial work my Sr. year in High School. Great bunch of people. CCCNJ English Ministry Website [ Website ] - Created for my home church (Chinese Christian Church of NJ)'s English ministry. Basically a place to put up sermon notes, pictures, announcements and the link. Currently maintained by Wey Wang. ARNM 331 Projects [ Website ] - Projects done for Art and Narrative Media 331 Class during the Spring of 2003. It was my last semester and being an engineer, we didn't have many choices to take non-engineering classes. So there I was, the only non-art person in the class. Good class though.. fun stuff =] CFC Wedding Shower Registry Websites [ KJ and Susie | HaMin and Esther | P. Jung and Christine | Phil and Yanghee] - A gift registry program written for all the CFC weddings so that people could signup to buy gifts. Administration panel (not shown) allows an individual to view who's bringing what and all the contact information if needed. CFC Asia Website [ Website ] - Created for Covenant Fellowship Church's Asia Teams to post updates and prayer requests. Completed automated (written in PHP with MySQL database backend) with a WYSIWYG editor in the backend written in Javascript. Design was nicely done by Carolyn Govoni. Classcomm Website [ Screenshot ] - Website designed for University of Illinois' Classcomm, a system that 50% of the math classes use to keep track of student grades, homework, assignments. Script was originally written by James Long but after he left, I became the primary debugger / new module writer / commenter on the massive program. It's currently maintained by Rob Rypka, David Stipp, and Ben Staffin, the real guys in charge of the math department. 2002 CRH 1 2002/2003 Homepage [ Website ] - CRH 1 2002/2003 Small Group Website. Used to post announcements, birthdays, directory information, prayer requests, prayer partners, pictures... all that good stuff. Entire website is automated (written in PHP with MySQL database backend) for people to easily update without knowing HTML. Looking back at all the memories and past announcements really encourage me even today. CFC Wedding Shower Registry Websites [ Sungyoon | P. Peter and Cindy ] - A gift registry program written for all the CFC weddings so that people could signup to buy gifts. Asia 2002 Missions Team Homepage [ Website ] - Created for Covenant Fellowship Church's Asia 2002 Team to post updates and prayer requests. IC2002 Missions Team Homepage [ Website ] - Our CFC Inner City 2002 Missions team website. Everything was automated that allowed people to post updates and pictures easily. What an amazing experience it was.. gotta keep being faithful till the end. ISR 8 2001/2002 Homepage [ Website ] - ISR 8 2001/2002 Small Group Website. We basically used it to automate prayer requests instead of having people type it up, people would fill out the form and it would automatically generate a printable version. Our special praise song is there too. College Prep Math Website [ Website ] - A simple informational website created for UIUC's College Prep Math courses while working for Math Teacher Link. King's Club International Worker's Website [ Screenshot ] - Website created to help the King's Club workers with weekly overviews, music, resources, directories, etc. Winter OIL 2002 Conference Website [ Website ] - My first experience with creating a Flash website from ground up. Man.. what a challenge.. but what a blessing as well. It really helped me get prepared for the retreat. Props to Ed Sohn for the nice guitar picking. 2001 MTL Website [ Website ] - Extended the Math Teacher Link at University of Illinois's website by adding menus and re-designed the front page. Additional scripts and programs for the message board and teaching modules were also written while working at MTL. SOAR CCCNJ Website [ Website ] - Chinese Christian Church of NJ's College Group (SOAR)'s website. Hasn't been updated in a long while. Wey Wang did the graphics design. I did the HTML coding. We tried to make it updatable by using the same .cgi script we've been playing around with since the missions trip but it never got off the ground. Pureworld Botanicals Inc. Internal Website [ Screenshot ] - Created for Pureworld Botanicals Inc.'s intranet during a summer internship. Features include automated updating (based off of modifying CGI scripts), message board, telephone directory etc. SCFSU Website [ Website ] - Done on a missions trip with Synergy Ministries to Jamaica for Students Christian Fellowship and Scripture Union. Most of the dynamic stuff doesn't work anymore. ISR 6 2000/2001 Homepage [ Website ] - Created for ISR 6 2000/2001 Small Group to remember the blessed year. 2000 Hiatus 1999 Gadget Crew Website [ Website ] - It was our senior year in highschool and bunch of us got the bright idea to make a website to "remember" the good times. I still can't believe its up, but re-reading some of the stuff really brings back memories... my my, how silly we were haha.
